We are committed to providing a handmade festival experience.  Very limited sponsorships for non-handmade items are available.  See our Sponsorships page for details.

(If applying online fees may be paid by PAYPAL or mailed/postmarked within three business days).  Fees will be returned if vendor is not accepted (for example, if there are already similar vendors contracted) but no fees will be returned to those who do not show up to participate. Specifically, no fees will be refunded after May 30, 2012 unless otherwise negotiated.

Non-Profit (Retail): $30 for all three days (example: Quilt Guild raffle ticket sales, etc)

Street Performers: No charge, but performer must have a city Vendor License to both participate and set up a tip jar.

We reserve the right to refuse any booth (vendor, non-profit/information, retail or non) that we deem inappropriate for our festival.

Workshops: If you are a vendor and would like to offer a workshop, please submit a proposal by February 15th 2011.

Swap Meet: No charge as long as $$ is not exchanged.  If you plan to sell through the swap meet you will need a city vendor license to participate.  Sign up for the swap meet at the Information Booth. We will set up a table area to display items available to be swapped.  The swap meet begins at 10am on Sunday and runs most of the day.

Vendor Licenses: All vendors and participants must have and display either a Colorado Sales Tax license or a Colorado Special events license (if retailing) as well as a MV Vendor License.  The special events licenses are available online.
Once you are accepted as a vendor, we will invite you to a special site online to find all vendor applications, licenses, and details.

Other Info:

Electricity: Electricity is unavailable unless you bring/rent a generator.  Generators are allowed, but you must contact us if you are bringing a generator will be loud (or may disturb other vendors) so that we can choose an appropriate place in the park for you.

Insurance: All vendors must provide their own liability and property insurance if desired. The SLV Folk Arts and Fiber Festival assumes no risk to you or your property.

Security: The SLV Folk Arts and Fiber Festival will provide an on sight security guard overnight (the 13th and 14th from 7pm-7am), but vendor still assumes all risk. If you are uncomfortable, you may choose to pack up overnight.

Setup:
Friday Set-up will begin at 12pm. Friday is OPTIONAL for vendors.  We will be hosting our workshops from noon until 6pm with our Launch Party happening at a seperate location from 6-8pm.

Saturday and Sunday Set-Up begins at 7am.  The festival opens at 9am on both days.  ***Setting up earlier is recommended on Saturday as MV has big morning traffic in the summer precipitated by local yard sales. Much of this traffic is tourist based! Food vendors might consider providing breakfast fare and others might consider small ticket items that might appeal to this demographic. Just a thought-- we very much want to promote quality first. ***

Weather: July weather in Monte Vista is cool in the morning and temperate during the day, we have an intense bright sun at this altitude, though we often have rain briefly each day as well. Please plan accordingly. Sunscreens, umbrellas are imperative. They don't call us The Land of Cool Sunshine for no reason!  Not often, but sometimes the wind can be brutal.  Please bring proper weights, SPIRAL stakes, tie downs, and be properly prepared for wind.

Alcohol is not allowed in the park without proper city permits and segregation for consumption.
